Now accepting applications for Dance Organizations
Grand Center, Inc. is proud to announce that we will once again host the “Dancing in the Street Festival” this September 25th, 2010. As an organization dedicated to the promotion of the arts in the Grand Center Arts and Entertainment, we strongly feel that this festival fulfills our mission and encourage you to apply for this juried event!
In its 4th year, the “Dancing in the Street Festival” will once again take place on 4 outdoor stages throughout the district. We are contacting you with this letter to invite your organization to apply to participate in this event. Dance groups or individuals will be allowed up to 10 minutes to present one or more choreographed works. We would strongly encourage you to:
• Send a DVD sample of the actual pieces you are proposing; public performances are preferred
• Propose works that feature your strongest dancers
• If not the actual work you are proposing, choose sample work to send on DVD that shows
your group to their best ability
Please complete the PERFORMANCE APPLICATION and return to our offices along with a DVD no later than May 14, 2010.
