For over 30-years, East-L.A.’s favorite sons, Los Lobos, have earned popular and critical acclaim for their trademark blend of roots rock, ethereal psychedelia, hard R&B and blues, Tex-Mex, country, pop rock and traditional Mexican music. Los Lobos has toured with and/or opened for artists as diverse as Bob Dylan, the Clash, Elvis Costello, Dave Matthews, ZZ Top, the Eagles, Santana, Lou Reed, U2 and the Grateful Dead. Their influence has been felt from the fertile L.A. punk scene of the 1980s, to today’s Latin-influenced pop-rock and avant-garde Mexican music scene. From their wildly popular cover of Ritchie Valens “La Bamba,” to their latest release, Tin Can Trust, the Grammy winning group continues to evolve artistically, while never forgetting their roots.
