Coffee With Creatives is a weekly meet-up focused on discussions themed around innovation and collaboration. On Feb. 20, St. Louis artist and musician Blvck Spvde takes the floor.

The St. Louis independent art scene is a self-sustaining microcosm. Within this world of creatives, there are leaders who attract national patrons. A chief amongst Midwest creatives, Blvck Spvde creates music that represents hope and manifests opportunities. Blvck Spvde is a notable musician and one of the first artists in the region to participate in the acclaimed Red Bull Music Academy. Spvde, whose real name is Veto Money, casts a wide net with his works. His ability to cohesively seam together sonic pleasantries has reached music lovers in the US and Europe when opening for Hiatus Kaiyote. Additionally, he cohesively collaborates with musical family members Vibe Music Collective. Whether he chooses to spit sonnets through the form of rap, sing soulful melodies filled with joy, or spin sample-heavy reworked tracks when DJing, this creative reawakens innovation.
