Metropolitan Building
A signature building in the Grand Center Arts and Entertainment District will be developed in the near future. Grand Center Inc. announced their selection of Pyramid Construction as the developer of the long-vacant Metropolitan Building located at the corner of Grand Blvd. and Olive in the heart of Grand Center.

University Plaza Apartments
The restored University Plaza Apartment Building, located at 607 North Grand in the heart of Grand Center, is the perfect home for the busy urban professional. Listed on the National Registry of Historic Buildings, this dramatic structure was designed in 1918 by Eames and Young and underwent renovation in 1993.

The one and two bedroom apartment homes have been designed with contemporary urban living in mind and boast breathtaking views of the St. Louis skyline. Neighborhood Assistance Program
Administered by the Missouri Department of Economic Development, the Neighborhood Assistance Program is designed to assist endangered communities and their residents by improving the quality of life in their neighborhoods through revitalization. This program enables donors to redirect their Missouri Tax dollars to local projects while reducing administrative and overhead costs that would have been incurred if the same program was administered by a government agency.

With the support of Missouri's Neighborhood Assistance Program, Grand Center, Inc. successfully created a revolving loan program that has stimulated and attracted new investment in an older, declining urban neighborhood and transformed it into an emerging mixed-use creative and cultural district that serves the entire St. Louis region.

Projects and Organizations that have benefited from the Grand Center, Inc. Revolving Loan Fund are: Vito's, Bistro, Circus Arts, The Creepy Crawl, Metropolitan Building, Church of God In Christ/Urban Garden, Ground in Olive west housing area, Nuelle's, Schmidt Contemporary Art, Pace Framing, the Tuxedo Room and the Michael Byron's Studio.

Commercial Space, Club Riviera Building
The four-story Club Riviera Building, a name long associated with great music, dancing, and good food is in a great location.

The first floor is now used by the Creepy Crawl music venue, but the second through fourth floors are still available to rent. Located in Grand Center, Midtown St. Louis, the Club Riviera Building is just minutes from the Downtown St. Louis area. The Club Riviera puts you just a short walk away from Jazz at the Bistro, The Fabulous Fox Theatre, many museums and galleries, restaurants such as The Best Steak House and Saint Louis University.

Construction Continues on Coronado
Restoration work of $36 Million on the historic Coronado Hotel is contributing to the transformation of Grand Center at Spring and Lindell Avenues. Developer/Owner Amrit Gill is nearing completion of his Phase One construction plan for this twin-towered 265,000 square foot apartment building.

Architects Henmi and Associates are renovating this 15 story tower for 65 one, two, and three bedroom apartments, which will be available for occupancy in early 2003. The second phase will then begin in the connecting 10-stoy tower, adding an additional 99 apartments.

A restaurant and patio cafe, a high-end convenience store, a fitness center, and banquet facilities will be among the retail usage of the first floor. A parking garage with rooftop pool complete the enhancements to the original Preston Bradshaw design from the mid-twenties.
