Grand Center is synonymous with the arts, but did you know that one of St. Louis' greatest cultural and historic neighborhoods is also one of its tastiest? There may be 12,000 theater seats within four blocks, but you'll also find booths and bar stools, pasta and pints, crepes and cabernet.

Choose from nearly a dozen unique dining establishments... from the hip and cool, to the classic and casual. Whether you're coming for a show or making your meal your evening's entertainment, Grand Center offers an eclectic mix of great restaurants.

THE BEST STEAKHOUSE
A classic cafeteria-style steakhouse directly across from the Fox Theatre on N. Grand Blvd. The grill sizzles seven days a week with steaks, chops, and chicken. Add a salad, bread and potato, and the tab still stays in the $6-$11 range. A gyros sandwich is on the menu as a salute to the Greek heritage of founder Dean Kases, who established the restaurant in 1964. Now operated by son Dean Jr. and Phil Schreiber, the Steakhouse does both a brisk lunch and dinner business.

Carry out is available; local businesses call ahead for even faster pick-up.

THE BISTRO AT GRAND CENTER
A lively restaurant and club in an intimate venue which has provided years of culinary excellence to St. Louis diners. The fare is classic American bistro, featuring fresh seafood, chops, soups, salads and pastas. Desserts are sinful and after dinner drinks a must either in the upstairs or downstairs bar.

A short walk to or from many other venues, performances and events in Grand Center. Or stay and enjoy a show produced by Jazz St. Louis; seating for the 8:30pm show begins at 7:30pm, with the late show at 10:15pm. A delightful dessert menu continues for the show accompanied by a great wine list and bar.

Schedules for upcoming shows and tickets for Jazz at The Bistro can be obtained at The Jazz St. Louis Web site.. A $5 drink minimum per person during shows if no dinner is ordered. The Bistro is available for private parties, meetings or special events and is open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday. The Original Chuy Arzola's Tex-Mex opened in Dogtown on June 2nd, 1989. Now, twenty years late, Coby Arzola, son of original founder, Eddie Arzola, has partnered with Ami Grimes an Gurpreet Padda to bring Chuy's back!

CITY DINER AT THE FOX
The City Diner opened in 1992 with the idea of serving made from scratch comfort food moderately priced in a casual atmosphere in the tradition of a Diner. The South City Diner expanded into the old Bretchers bakery space in 2003. We are open daily serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our second location City Diner at the Fox is now open at 541 N. Grand.

CAFE VENTANA
Cafe Ventana brings to Saint Louis the look and feel of a French Quarter bistro while offering deliciously comfortable foods. From French style beignets to incredible locally roasted coffee to delectable sandwiches, salads and soups, dining at Cafe Ventana is truly a culinary experience.

Our style of cooking is a lighter, South Coast style with the majority of our offerings coming from a wood fire grill. We've borrowed flavors from the tropics using ingredients such as Sweet Plantains, Key Limes, & Mango Habanero relish resulting in imaginative dishes - Garlic Barbeque Delta Shrimp With Smoked Chili and Gouda Grits, or Blue Nile Espresso Rubbed Beef Filet Medallions, or a Cuban Reuben Pressed Sandwich. TRIUMPH GRILL
Triumph Grill is now open for lunch and dinner in Grand Center. Adjacent to The Moto Museum, Triumph offers bold, American fare and a laid-back atmosphere. Borrowing on the vintage motorcycle theme, coupled with a warm, inviting, contemporary interior and stylish menu, your visit to Triumph Grill is bound to be memorable. VITO'S
A beloved institution in the District since 1996, Vito's serves up a traditional trattoria style menu at 3515 Lindell, across from St. Louis University campus. Proprietor Vito LaFata III draws from family recipes for pasta, seafood and chicken dishes.
