FarFetched and Pulitzer present an evening of original music with internationally-renowned composer and pianist Samora Pinderhughes. Pinderhughes recently scored the documentary Whose Streets?, which was directed and produced by Sabaah Folayan and FarFetched co-founder Damon Davis. Whose Streets? was included in the 2017 Sundance Film Festival and will be released this August.
This performance will feature special guest Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah—jazz composer, producer, and multi-album recording artist—on trumpet. Pinderhughes will also be joined by award-winning bassist Luques Curtis and percussionist Mark Whitfield, Jr. The quartet will perform music inspired by Whose Streets? as well as by the exhibition Blue Black, curated by Glenn Ligon.
While this event is free and open to the public, a suggested donation of $5-20 in support of the artists is welcomed. Please pay only what you can. Space will be limited, so early arrival is encouraged.
