DIRECTIONS
FROM THE WEST
- Take the new Hwy 64/40 eastbound and use one of three exits:
- Vandeventer exit: Take left at stop light on to Vandeventer, proceed to Olive or Washington, turn right (east) to available street, lot or garage parking.
- Market exit: Merge left on to Market. At first light, make a left on to Compton (north) and proceed to available street, lot or garage parking along Lindell, Olive, Locust, Washington or Sam Shepard.
- Grand exit: Make a right on to Grand (north). Take a left on to Laclede to access the St. Louis University garage. Or, at Lindell, make a left to access Spring and available street, lot or garage parking on the west side of Grand. You can also make a right at Lindell to access the St. Louis University garage at Compton or available street or lot parking on the east side of Grand.
- Take Hwy 44 eastbound and use the Grand exit. Take left on to Grand (north). For parking, see preceding Hwy 40 directions.
- Take Hwy 70 westbound and use the Grand exit. Make a right (south) on to Grand. Proceed to Delmar, make right (west) and proceed to available street, lot or garage parking along Delmar, or turn south from Delmar on to Grandel Square, Washington, Olive or Lindell.
FROM THE EAST
- Take Hwy 40 westbound and use the Forest Park Parkway/Grand exit. Merge to right, following Grand exit signs. Make a right on to Grand (north). Take a left on to Laclede to access the St. Louis University garage. Or, at Lindell, make a left to access Spring and available street, lot or garage parking on the west side of Grand. You can also make a right at Lindell to access the St. Louis University garage at Compton or available street or lot parking on the east side of Grand.
- Take Hwy 44 westbound and use the Grand exit. For parking, see proceeding Hwy 40 directions or check out the section marked Parking.
- Take Hwy 70 eastbound and use the Grand exit. Take left on to Grand (south). For parking, follow the same directions as listed under Hwy 70 westbound or check out the section marked Parking.
PARKING
Grand Boulevard will be closed from Lindell to Delmar to motor vehicles beginning at
6 a.m. on Thursday, December 31.
Grand Center District Parking Lots & Garages will be open for parking ($4- $5 fee) and may be accessed in the following ways:
- From the west side of Grand: Use Spring Avenue and enter one of the five parking lots/garages from Olive Street, Washington Boulevard, or Grandel Square.
- There will be limited street parking available on the east side of Grand due to reserved parking for the Symphony and Permit Only parking on the lots.
St. Louis University Parking Garages (Located at Grand and Laclede, or at Olive and Compton) will be available for parking ($4 fee).
Street Parking: Come early and park on the street. Meter fees apply until 7 p.m. The Grand Center area is home to thousands of on street parking spaces.
MetroLink
On December 26, the construction to replace the Vandeventer Ave. bridge will begin. Metrolink will begin a bus service between the Grand MetroLink Station and the Central West End MetroBus Center. For details, visit www.metrostlouis.org.
- If you are traveling westbound, exit the Grand Station and hop on the lower level (Scott Street) shuttle bus marked “First Night” that will take you to the
First Night shuttle stop at the northwest corner of Grand and Lindell.
- If you are traveling eastbound, exit at the Central West End MetroLink Station and take the bridge bus from the MetroBus Center on Taylor to the Grand Station and hop on the lower level (Scott Street) shuttle bus marked “First Night” that will take you to the First Night shuttle stop at the northwest corner of Grand and Lindell.
- The last First Night shuttle will depart from the northwest corner of Grand and Lindell at 12:15 a.m. and return to the Grand Station (Scott Street).
- It is important that you check the Metro schedule at www.metrostlouis.org for your appropriate train schedule as well as the bridge bus schedule between the Grand Station and the Central West End station.
