Dear Art and Life Lovers,
The busy days of September have come and gone, and October is finally “hare” (Haha! Get it? It’s my very “bunny” sense of humor!). This month not only brings the close of the Thursdays @ the Intersection summer concert series, the Dancing in the Street Festival and the start of the 2012-2013 academic year at Saint Louis University; it also signals the start of Grand Center’s busiest time of year. Here are just a few things I’ve heard about from my prime location:
- Preparations for First Night 2013
- The 2012 Black Tie, Brown Shoe Grand Center Gala
- The Fall series of our Grand Center Architecture Tours
- The start of the 2012-2013 Broadway Season at the Fabulous Fox Theater
- The Sheldon’s 100th Anniversary Concert Season
Now I’m just a concrete rabbit, but even I can see that Grand Center is gearing up to host thousands of St. Louisans and tourists alike, proving that St. Louis is, in fact, a hub of art and culture.
In the midst of celebrating some of our neighborhood’s events, we have some new things to look forward to: the redesign of our monthly newsletter (which now features candid interviews with Grand Center residents, business owners, employees and patrons) and the National Endowment for the Arts Our Town grant awarded to Grand Center for the development of more pedestrian (and bunny) friendly green space and pathway in the district.
I hope you’re looking forward to rest of the month as much as I am!
