Dear Art and Life Lovers,
Can you believe it’s November already?? I was just getting used to the warm weather in the summer. But no need to hibernate – there’s plenty going on in Grand Center to keep you interested this Fall. Nine Network celebrated the Public Media Commons Groundbreaking on Tuesday, October 30. Get ready for great additions to Grand Center!
Many other exciting changes are taking place in the District as well. We just finished the first ever Grand Sweep in Grand Center on Saturday, October 27 as part of Saint Louis University’s Make a Difference Day. During this event, 170 SLU students united to help us clean the streets and beautify the District. We hope this initiative will continue in the future and we can all keep Grand Center looking grand!
Don’t forget that November 6 represents 2012 Election Day. Prepare for the elections by seeing the Persuasive Politics exhibit at the Saint Louis University Museum of Art and watch democracy in action at the Presidential Watch Parties at the Contemporary Art Museum – St. Louis. Stay an informed voter and do your duty as citizens. Vote for the Earth Rabbit!
And speaking of voting, it’s time to start thinking about Grand Center’s biggest celebration - First Night®! The public voted for the Traveling Circus as this year’s theme for First Night® in Grand Center. Stay tuned for more news on theme decorations, performers and exciting activities at First NightÒ 2013 as the month unfolds.
Well, it looks like it’s time for me to start planning the Thanksgiving menu. Don’t worry, carrots will be served! Enjoy your Turkey Month and talk to you in December!
