The Dark Room Moves to The Grandel
The Dark Room closes the doors of its current location at 615 N. Grand on Saturday, 1/28 and will make the move next door to its future home in The Grandel over the following few weeks! Be on the look out for expanded gallery hours, expanded food & beverage offerings, and exciting music programming. Fox Garage Construction Update
The Fox parking garage is taking shape as construction progresses from east to west. Prefabricated panels are arriving at the site daily to be hoisted into place by the massive 250 ton crane. The garage is still on pace for an April completion. But as with all winter construction, progress will depend on cooperation from the weather.
By accommodating more than 600 vehicles, the garage will provide convenient and safe parking for patrons of all Grand Center venues.

Dance for Food

Artists for a Cause presents their inaugural Dance for Food event in St. Louis. Dance for Food is a program designed to bring dancers and audiences together to collect food for the hungry. The annual Dance for Food events convenes many of St. Louis' finest contemporary dancers to showcase their talents to an audience whose only admission fee is a bag of unexpired, nonperishable goods.
February 3 | Creative Exchange Lab
CEL - Center for Architecture + Design presents a talk by artist Benjamin Lowder, opening the exhibition of his work: Self-similarity, In the spirit of Buckminster Fuller. Mr. Lowder will speak about how nature’s geometric patterns and proportions have informed the legacy of Buckminster Fuller and other modern architects like Eero Saarinen, as well as Mr. Lowder’s own artwork. Local architecture to be covered in this lecture will include Buckmister Fuller's Center for Spirituality & Sustainability at SIUE, Louis Sullivan’s Wainwright Building, Gyo Obata’s St Louis Abby, and Eero Saarinen’s Arch.
