An online destination for vinyl record fans, Music Record Shop has CDs and DVDs available in their retail location at 3526 Washington Ave. Stop by to welcome our new neighbors Tuesdays through Fridays from noon-8PM and take a look around the store to discover local artists or mainstream musicians.
International Photography Hall of Fame 50th Anniversary
The International Photography Hall of Fame and Museum (IPHF) is celebrating its 50th Anniversary by inducting 8 new members to their Hall of Fame. The 2016 inductees, including Ken Burns, Steve Jobs, and Annie Leibovitz, were chosen because they made a notable and everlasting contribution to photography. Inductions will be held at the Induction and 50th Anniversary Celebration Event on Friday, October 28 at the .ZACK. For information about the exhibit, click here. Grand Unveiling of Artists for a Cause
Artists for a Cause, Inc. will hold its “Grand Unveiling Party” at the .ZACK Performing Arts Incubator on Thursday, October 20. Come socialize, meet Artists for a Cause and connect with other supporters of the arts at one of the first opportunities to see the newly renovated .ZACK.
Deaconess Foundation Breaks Ground in Grand Center
Just recently the Deaconess Foundation broke ground for their new building at 1000 N. Vandeventer! The new building will be focused on the well-being of children as well as the community. It will be filled with a few other social organizations, communal space, meeting rooms and is expected to host over 6,000 citizens a year. The Deaconess Center for Child Well-Being will be coming Fall 2017 and is very excited to be in an area dedicated to the arts and other philanthropic organizations.

New Seasons Begin for The Sheldon and St. Louis Symphony
Fall is around the corner and both the Sheldon and the St. Louis Symphony are starting their fall season with a bang! Both organizations will have world renowned, unique artists such as Yefim Bronfman, Pat Metheny (pictured above), violinist Jennifer Koh, and the U.S. Air Force Band. Start the Fall season Saturday, October 1, with the family at Storytime in The Commons! The Nine Network’s American Graduate initiative and the St. Louis Public Library offer a FREE reading program for children and their families. Children will be able to see and learn with their favorite PBS Kids characters they see on TV. It starts at 9:30 to 11AM and is held at the Public Media Commons.
