See Event DetailsLamar Harris is a trombonist, band leader, composer, and creative connector who blends a unique style of electronics, genres, and instrumentation to take you on a musical journey. The St. Louis-born artist has played with Sheila E., Nelly, Terance Blanchard, Eric Roberson, Sy Smith, Keyon Harrold, Pharoh Monch, Fred Wesley, Dwelle, Bilal, Vintage Trouble, MDCL, ZO!, and many others. His 20-piece big band, Lamar Harris’ Georgia Mae, has headlined at the Confluence Music Festival, Music at the Intersection, Cherokee Jazz Crawl, Grub & Groove, and events for Metro Boomin, and has recorded with various artists. The band performs original music influenced by traditional Jazz, Afrobeat, Classical, Latin, Hip-hop, Soul, and Funk, with cover tunes ranging from Sinatra, J Dilla, Fishbone, and Mingus to Roy Hargrove. As DJ Nune is Lamar Harris, he has shared the stage with Ludacris, Lil Jon, Flo Rida, Babyface, Bel Biv Devoe, Rich Medina, ZO!, Viktor Dupleix, and Moonchild. His original works have been featured in theater/dance companies such as Alvin Alley Dance Company, Shakespeare Festival St. Louis, Metro Theater Company, and The Black Rep.
