SUMMARY:Music as the Message Retreat: Stepping Into Peace
DESCRIPTION:This is a two-day retreat that runs on Friday\, March 20\, 5:00 pm–9:00 pm and Saturday\, March 21\, 10:00 am–5:00 pm. \nJoin Emmy-winning Soprano\, writer\, composer\, and educator Adrienne Danrich for the latest edition of “Music as the Message: Stepping Into Peace\,” a transformative weekend retreat. This intimate experience explores the power of music to inspire healing\, joy\, and community\, and is open to all seeking different pathways to peace. Over the course of a two-day retreat\, participants will be guided through shared experiences that reveal peace in both calm and chaos\, art making that fosters personal and communal healing\, and collaboration with guest practitioners Dr. Anu French\, Leslie Corey\, and Amanda Austin—all culminating in a free performance at The Sheldon Concert Hall. \nFree public performances will also be presented at CAM on March 21\, including If You Can Breathe\, You Can Sing featuring members of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra’s IN UNISON chorus at 12:00 pm and RECORDS with Amanda Austin and Gary Mitchell Jr. at 2:30 pm. \nRegistration notes \n\nRegistration for the retreat is limited\nOpen to ages 16+\nTickets are $157.50\, which includes a processing fee; tickets include all program materials\, opening night reception\, catered lunch\, a goodie bag\, and VIP seating for public performances\nScholarships are available by contacting programs@camstl.org\n\nClick here to register. \nAccessibility Notes \n\nGluten free and vegetarian food options are provided for retreat participants\nSeating is provided at all parts of the retreat\nNo prior experience is needed\nThe retreat includes movement around indoor and outdoor spaces (weather permitting)
