DESCRIPTION:Santa Trova is a Latin-based music band created in 2024 in Saint Louis\, Missouri. Its main objective is to preserve and foster both Trova music and Latin-based genres by performing original and cover songs in those styles. The name of the project is inspired by the Cuban New Trova (or Nueva Trova Cubana in Spanish)\, a musical movement that originated at the end of the 60s in Cuba\, characterized by the mix of guitar\, poetry\, and singing.

She also collaborated with the Riverfront Times to create the first ever Riverfront Times Art A’fair Poetry Exhibition in 2022\, collaborated with the Luminary to create “TIMELESS” in 2023\, was honored to be the first live poet on Fox 2 News\, was the first live poet to be featured on 100.3 the beat and 1600 hallelujah reciting a Mother’s Day poem\, was voted STL’s 2022 Best Top Poet at the 2022 STL Awards\, was honored as a 2022 St. Louis American Salute to Young Leaders award recipient\, a 2023 Black Girls who Rock honoree and spoken word artist and featured on the cover of Delux’s 314 Day Special Edition magazine cover. \nLearn more here!
