ANNA CLYNE PIVOT (SLSO Co-commission; U.S. Premiere)
MAX BRUCH Scottish Fantasy
FRANZ SCHUBERT Symphony No. 9, “The Great”

Conductor David Danzmayr makes his SLSO debut with music that lives in the ambiguity of human emotions. Franz Schubert’s Symphony No. 9 wavers between light and shadow, between joy and pain. The SLSO gives the U.S. premiere of Anna Clyne’s PIVOT, music looking inward, toward a glowing core. Violinist Simone Porter finds vulnerability and spontaneity in the warmth of Max Bruch’s Scottish Fantasy.

The health, safety, and well-being of our audiences, SLSO family, and the St. Louis community is our top priority. Effective September 13 through December 1, the SLSO requires all patrons to provide upon entrance to Powell Hall:
