Jennifer Silverberg has been photographing food for the past decade for advertising and editorial clients. Silverberg will share stories from photographing on location and in the studio. The conversation will cover the challenges and the creative process behind her imagery. She will share insights to her techniques and the style decisions she makes for each photo shoot, from concept to final image.
A food, farm, product and lifestyle photographer & director, Jennifer moved to St. Louis from New York to attend Washington University. Upon finishing her degree, she started her career in photojournalism and made the transition to commercial photography in 2009. When not collaborating with agencies and brands to bring their visions to life, she continues to work on her cooking skills, tries to make her garden flourish, and spends much time playing in her new studio in Webster Groves.
Jennifer won 1st place in the national APA awards for food photography in 2021. She was also named one of Lurzer’s Archive 200 Best advertising photographers in the world, 2021/2022. Her client list includes McDonald’s, Pei Wei Asian Diner, Oberweis, Bayer, Spire, Frick’s Meats, Caleres, Purina, Instinct Pet Food, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Midwest Living, #STLMade, Feast Magazine, St. Louis Magazine, and Big Heart Tea Co.
