Tiny Tunes is a 30-minute concert created especially for children ages 3-6. It is the perfect way to introduce your child to live orchestral music.

Two unlikely friends—the mighty lion and the little mouse—take us on an adventure that proves even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big difference. Familiar tunes from Edvard Grieg’s Peer Gynt bring the story to life as students dance and make music along with SLSO musicians. Based on the book The Lion and the Mouse by Jenny Broom, illustrated by Nahta Nój.

Doors open at 10:30am for pre-concert activities including instrument-playing and creative movement. Music-making kits will be available for $5 at the concert. You’ll be able to play along with your SLSO and then take it home for more music-making fun.

Family Concerts are inclusive of people with sensory sensitivities. Accommodations will be provided so that everyone may enjoy the experience of live orchestral music. Click here to learn more. Use this social story to help your child get ready for the concert.
