Guest conductor Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider and the SLSO explore the many meanings of home. Karim Al-Zand’s Luctus Profugis honors the courage of refugees fleeing Syria. Má vlast is Bedřich Smetana’s search for the voice of his native Bohemia. Pianist Ingrid Fliter finds comfort in the beating heart of Robert Schumann’s Piano Concerto.


The health, safety, and well-being of our audiences, SLSO family, and the St. Louis community is our top priority. Effective September 13 through December 1, the SLSO requires all patrons to provide upon entrance to Powell Hall:

  • A photo ID, AND;
  • A vaccination card with name that indicates full vaccination, OR
  • A photo of a complete vaccination card with name, OR
  • A negative RT-PCR test taken within 72 hours of a concert date, OR
  • A negative antigen test taken within 24 hours of a concert date
