Through his photographs Jacob Buchowski hopes express his awe and reverence of the Southwestern landscape: the vast and often secluded wilderness; the magnificent features of the land be they sandstone formations carved by water and time, ever changing sand dunes, deep canyon walls, or tall mesas and plateaus; the unique flora and fauna not found anywhere else; and most importantly, the dazzling stunning displays of natural light ranging from the beautiful skies at the edges of night and day to the warm light lending a glow to crevices and canyon walls. In essence, share the inherent beauty of the landscape being portrayed.
Come See his lecture and stay to view his stunning, black and white landscape photography from the exhibition Wanderings through the American Southwest.
