Reggie Thomas Performs with JazzU

Join us for a remarkable evening of jazz music featuring two talented groups from our JazzU program. The JazzU All-Stars, led by Jason Swagger, and the Cody Henry JazzU Group will grace the stage alongside accomplished pianist Reginald “Reggie” Thomas.

Since 2018, Thomas has served as the ensemble coach and director for NYO Jazz Orchestra, a national youth jazz orchestra created by The Weill Music Institute at Carnegie Hall. He was also a coordinator of the internationally recognized Northern Illinois University School of Music’s Jazz Studies program, and was the director of the acclaimed NIU Jazz Orchestra. Today, Thomas stands as an inspiring pillar of the St. Louis jazz community and beloved educator. With decades of performing, recording, and mentoring behind him, Thomas is a masterful and deeply committed musician whose influence continues to inspire and influence jazz students.
