Legendary drummer and percussionist Sheila E. has been setting the beat for decades. She’s worked with everyone from Marvin Gaye to Prince to Beyoncé and has left her mark on the music industry with classic hits like “The Glamorous Life” and “A Love Bizarre.” But Sheila E.’s influence extends beyond the music world. She’s an abuse survivor who’s used music as a source of healing and giving back. She has performed in multiple films, produced for numerous televised music award programs and shared her incredible life story in her autobiography, “The Beat of My Own Drum.”
