Slatkin leads the combined musicians through Johannes Brahms’ Academic Festival Overture followed by Aaron Copland’s Lincoln Portrait, which features narrator and Director of SLSO’s IN UNISON Chorus Kevin McBeth, then Jr. Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s stirring Francesca da Rimini: Symphonic Fantasy after Dante brings the program to a powerful close.
