HECTOR BERLIOZ The Damnation of Faust

We’ve all had Berlioz’s experience with a good book. “I couldn’t put it down. I read it at meals, in the street.” Berlioz was so intrigued by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe’s book that he transformed it into a concert opera, The Damnation of Faust. It is among Stéphane Denève’s favorite works, and he brings a dream cast of vocalists to tell its story of love, death, and the devil.

Join us for a pre-concert conversation led by Guest Director of the St. Louis Symphony Chorus, Patrick Quigley, one hour prior the performance.

Avoid traffic and parking, and hop aboard the Symphony shuttle to enjoy a ride to Powell Hall. Shuttle tickets are $15 per passenger per concert.

Due to the start of construction, parking in the Powell Hall lot will be unavailable beginning March 20. Please visit slso.org/parking for parking options.
