The Big Muddy Dance Company invites you to their upcoming performance of Black, Brown, and Beige, a celebration of jazz music heritage through movement and stories, on January 28th and 29th at The Grandel Theatre. This multi-organization collaboration will feature work by five local artists, including live music by Jazz St. Louis and performances by The Black Rep, featuring three fellow actors in spoken word and performing choreography with The Big Muddy dancers. There is no shortage of live music this month! The Dark Room at The Grandel invites you to one of their various scheduled shows throughout January, including performances by Marsha Evans, Eric Slaughter Group, and Justin Hoskin. Art Bar, located atop the Angad Arts Hotel, invites you to come and enjoy the High Altitude Skyline Igloo. The Contemporary Art Museum has numerous ways to learn and connect with art this month, starting with Play Date on January 8th from 10-11am. Families with children of all ages are invited to enjoy the theme of rhythm with homemade kazoos.
